Marcus Griswold, PhD.
Environmental Scientist, and Climate Change
Marcus has 15 years of experience translating science and policy to communities and bridging the language gap between communities and governments. His background includes watershed assessment and restoration, climate change, contaminated sites, environmental justice, community engagement, and GIS.
In addition to his work with Revitalized Communities, Marcus heads his own organization, Calm Waters Group. His group partners with other organizations to provide technical assistance and community engagement to communities across the country. Before Marcus started Calm Waters, he had many roles including being a US EPA STAR Fellow, co-founder of Blue Water Baltimore, led an NSF-funded Climate Education program, and has served on the Board of a number of non-profits focused on environmental and disabilities empowerment. He has a certificate in Ecopsychology and coaching training through the CoActive Training Institute.
Marcus has a PhD in Environmental Engineering Sciences from the University of Florida..
