East Central Indiana Regional Planning DIstrict
Revitalized Communities is helping ECIRP make the best use of their EPA Brownfields Grant to redevelop possibly contaminated land in Muncie, Indiana and it's surrounding county. The priority areas of the grant are Environmental Justice Communities. Revitalized Communities is training an Environmental Justice Task Force on best ways to insure the community members are active partners in the land assessment process and continue to be partners well beyond redevelopment. This incudes training and outreach planning throughout the process. This work is in partnership with Kansas State University Technical Assistance to Brownfields (KSU TAB).
Michiana Area Council of Governments
Revitalized Communities has been tasked with outreaach and planning activities for Brownfieeld Assessment projects throughout the Michigan and Indiana areas near Lake Michigan. This work is done in partnership with Metric Environmental company.
CIty of Chicago/City of Evanston
Revitalized Communities teamed with Muse Community + Design to develop an Economic Development Plan for the Howard Street Commercial DIstrict that goes through both Chicago and Evanston, Illinois. Revitalized Communities worked on community input as well as Real Estate Assessment and evaluation studies.
City of Minneapolis
Revitalized Communities did studies and reports for both the city and community stakeholders regarding cummulative pollution impacts in two EJ Communities in Minneapolis. The studies were done to evaluate potential projects in the areas and damage that may have already been done in these communities. This project was in partnership with KSU TAB.
Rice & Larprenteur Alliance (RLA)
Revitalized Communities helped this development and planning organization with organizational needs so that community development done in this area that includes three cities in greater St. Paul, MN could be conducted in a cohesive manner. Revitalized Communities interviewed all internal stakeholders from each of the three cities and investigated concerns. A report was generated with guidelines, suggestions and best practices to help this area develop in a manner that is distinct to the RLA community in partnership with all 3 municipalities.This project was in partnership with KSU TAB.
Kansas State University Technical Assistance to Brownfields
Revitalized Communities developed and conducted a three-part training webinar on Environmental Justice to KSU TAB's client municipalities throughout the country to heighten awareness of and minimize effects of environmental impacts to communities.
